NUMHC offers the chance to play competitive mixed hockey with medics of all year groups. We’re a friendly and very social club welcoming members of all ability!
We have two 11-a-side teams playing on weekends against medics teams from other unis. We also have a 3rd team which plays in the Beeston Mixed League plus a 6-a-side IMS team playing on campus every weekend.
We train twice a week on Monday and Tuesday evening, which includes coaching on match play for everyone, plus dedicated beginners coaching each week.
We offer the only chance to play regular 11 a-side hockey outside of the University’s main teams, competing in a National Medics competition against other medical schools, as well as several other medics tournaments throughout the year. Both of our competitive teams reached the finals of their division, with our 2nd team winning the coveted NAMS trophy. So you would be joining a winning club.
The fun continues off the pitch as we host weekly socials and events for all members. This is a great way to make new friends from all year groups and boost your university experience!
